Monta arrived in Coventry in the 1970’s. She recalls how lonely and isolated she felt on arrival; however, she was made to feel very welcome by the host community. She has a passion for sewing and worked in a sewing factory for five years. She later helped her husband in their grocery shop. She feels really integrated now and has a supportive family with grandchildren.
