The Foundation of Lausanne Treaty Emigrants

The Foundation of Lausanne Treaty Emigrants was founded in 2001 by the children and grandchildren of the people who migrated from Greece due to the forced population change between Turkey and Greece in 1923.

Purposes of establishment:

In line with these aims, many E.U. culture projects have been carried out and we founded the Catalca Population Exchange Museum, the first museum of immigration in Turkey. We received the Europa Nostra Award for our efforts on the preservation of Cultural Heritage.
